PixelParty ships a native iOS app and a native Android app. Pix Wedding does not. That single difference is the loudest thing about this comparison from the outside, and it is also the most misunderstood, so here is what it means in practice before anything else on this page.
The apps are host tools. PixelParty’s own help pages state the platform works entirely in the browser and that guests do not need to download an app or create an account, and their how-it-works page says the host does not need the app either, since setup runs through the web. So the app is an optional way for the couple to manage their own event. Your guests never touch it. On the guest side, PixelParty and Pix Wedding do the identical thing: scan a QR code, a web page opens, pick photos, tap upload.
The app store apps are for your guests
They are not. PixelParty's help pages state the platform works entirely in the browser and guests do not need to download an app or create an account. The iOS and Android listings are host tools for building and managing the event.
A host app means you have to install something
PixelParty's own how-it-works page says the host does not need the app and setup happens through the web. The apps are optional. Pix Wedding runs the same way with a browser dashboard and no install at all.

These two products are closer than most pairings in this category. If you picked either at random you would have a working wedding album. So the decision comes down to three specific questions.

What the ratings do and do not tell you
PixelParty states on its own site that it has run 130,000 plus events since 2023 and holds a 4.9 rating from 400 plus Google reviews. Those are the company's own published figures rather than something we can independently audit, so read them as marketing claims from the vendor. Independently, the US iOS App Store listing for PixelParty: QR Wedding Photos showed 4.6 stars from 18 ratings when we checked in September 2026, and Trustpilot showed a 4.2 TrustScore from 78 reviews on the same date.
Those third-party numbers are small samples. Eighteen ratings is not enough to distinguish a good product from a lucky one, and a wedding photo app gets used once per customer, which structurally suppresses review volume for everyone in this category including us. Our advice is to weigh the published feature facts, the pricing page, and your own test of the guest flow far above any star average you find. Run the free trial on both, scan your own QR code, and let the upload experience decide it.
