01Overview

What Sub-Albums Do

Sub-albums let you split one wedding gallery into separate sections, like ceremony, reception, and after-party, so guests and you can browse photos by moment instead of scrolling through one giant feed. You can set up to 6 sub-albums per event.

Everything still lives under the same QR code and the same shared gallery, guests don't need a different link for each section. When they upload, you can direct them to the right sub-album, or organize photos into sections after the fact from your dashboard.

It's included in Standard and Pro. If your day has distinct parts, ceremony at one venue, reception at another, or a separate after-party, this is the feature that keeps them from blurring into one long scroll.

02How it works

Setting Up Sub-Albums for Your Event

01

Create your sub-albums

From your dashboard, set up to 6 sub-albums, for example ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, and after-party.

02

Guests pick a sub-album when uploading

Guests scan your one QR code and choose which sub-album their photo belongs to, or you can set a default for each phase of the day.

03

Everything stays under one gallery

All sub-albums live inside the same event, so there's still just one link to share and one ZIP download at the end.

04

Browse by moment afterward

You and your guests can open any sub-album on its own instead of scrolling through the entire day's uploads to find one part.

03Where it fits

Where Sub-Albums Make the Biggest Difference

Multi-venue weddings stay organized

If your ceremony and reception happen at different locations, sub-albums keep photos from each venue separate instead of mixed together by upload time.

Finding a specific moment takes seconds

Want just the first dance photos? Open that sub-album instead of scrolling past hundreds of dinner and dance floor shots.

Different photo missions per moment

Pair sub-albums with photo missions to run separate challenges for the ceremony and the reception.

Cleaner sharing after the wedding

Sending your parents just the ceremony sub-album, or your friends just the after-party one, is easier than pointing them to one massive gallery.

Multi-day celebrations get their own sections

If your wedding spans a welcome dinner, the ceremony, and a next-day brunch, each day can get its own sub-album instead of everything blending into one timeline.

04Do this

Getting Sub-Albums Right

Plan your sub-albums before the day

Decide your sections ahead of time, ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, and so on, rather than improvising mid-event.

Label signage by sub-album

If different parts of the venue have different QR signs, note which sub-album each one points guests to.

Don't overdo the split

6 sub-albums is a ceiling, not a target. Two or three clear sections often work better than splitting every fifteen minutes into its own album.

Combine with film roll mode selectively

You can apply film roll mode to just one sub-album, like the reception, while keeping ceremony photos visible right away.

05Avoid this

Sub-Album Mistakes to Avoid

Too many albums, not enough guidance

If guests don't know which sub-album to pick, photos end up scattered unevenly. Keep the choice simple and obvious.

Setting up sub-albums the morning of the wedding

Deciding your structure last minute leaves no time to update signage or brief anyone helping run the QR codes.

Forgetting sub-albums are a Standard and Pro feature

If you're comparing plans specifically for this, double check you're not looking at Starter, which doesn't include sub-albums.

Splitting by guest instead of by moment

Sub-albums work best organized around parts of the day, ceremony, reception, after-party, not by which guest is uploading.
