Photo Missions with a Live Guest Leaderboard

Give your guests fun photo challenges, like capturing the first dance or the best selfie. They pick a mission before shooting, and a live leaderboard on the venue slideshow shows who is winning, so shy tables start competing and your album fills itself. All in the browser, no app and no login.

From $49 one-time. No app and no account for guests.

01Overview

What Photo Missions Are

Photo missions turn your guest list into a scavenger hunt. Instead of just uploading whatever they happen to shoot, guests pick a mission first, like capturing the first dance, the best selfie, or the funniest reaction shot, then upload their entry for it.

A live leaderboard tracks who has submitted the most missions and can display right on the venue slideshow, so guests see their name climb in real time. It runs entirely in the browser, no app or login, using the same QR code as your regular photo uploads.

It's a Standard and Pro feature, built to work alongside the live slideshow so the leaderboard has a screen to show up on during the reception, not just a page guests have to remember to check.

02How it works

Running Photo Missions at Your Event

01

You set the missions

Pick a handful of photo challenges before the big day, first dance, best selfie, funniest face, whatever fits your event.

02

Guests choose one and shoot

Guests scan your QR code, pick a mission from the list, and upload their attempt straight from their phone.

03

The leaderboard updates live

Every submission counts toward the leaderboard, which updates as photos come in throughout the event.

04

You show it on screen

Pair missions with the live slideshow so the leaderboard displays on a TV or projector, turning the whole thing into something guests actively watch.

03Why it matters

Why Photo Missions Work at a Reception

Quiet tables start participating

A leaderboard gives guests who wouldn't normally grab a camera a reason to join in, especially once they see their table climbing the rankings.

Your gallery fills up faster

Guests chasing a mission upload more than guests just wandering around with their phone out.

It gives the DJ or MC something to call out

A leaderboard update between songs is an easy way to keep energy up during dinner or a lull in dancing.

You get photo variety you'd never think to ask for

Missions like best selfie or funniest reaction shot produce photos a guest would never think to take unprompted.

It breaks the ice between guests who don't know each other

Missions that need two people, like a group selfie mission, give strangers at a shared table an easy, low-pressure reason to talk.

04Do this

Getting Photo Missions Right

Keep the mission list short

Four or five clear missions work better than ten vague ones. Guests should be able to read the list once and know exactly what to shoot.

Make at least one mission easy

Include something low effort like best smile so guests who don't want to hunt for a moment can still get on the board.

Announce the leaderboard early

Mention it during the welcome toast or on your QR code sign so guests know it's happening before the party is half over.

Pair missions with the live slideshow

The leaderboard is far more effective displayed on a screen guests can see than left inside the gallery alone.

05Avoid this

Photo Mission Mistakes to Avoid

Too many missions at once

A long list of challenges overwhelms guests before they've had a drink. Trim it down.

No screen to show the leaderboard

Without the live slideshow running somewhere visible, guests forget the leaderboard exists halfway through the night.

Missions that need props you didn't bring

A mission like best costume photo falls flat if there's nothing on hand to make it happen. Keep missions doable with what's already at the venue.

Not announcing a winner

If nobody calls out who's leading by the end of the night, the competitive angle that made missions fun in the first place goes to waste.
