5What decor and cake trends are couples copying?

Pinterest groups this year's decor under Messy Coquette and Sensory Styling: soft fabric, layered texture and things guests can touch or smell. Cakes have gone the other direction, from perfect tiers to playful and a little odd.

6Why are analog keepsakes and nostalgic tech trending?

After years of weddings lived through screens, couples want things they can hold and replay. Pinterest calls it Analogue Activities and Nostalgic Tech Touches, and the numbers are among the report's highest.

Zola also lists documentary photography as a style that is staying in. That fits the rest of this trend: couples want the real, unposed day. In data from 203 weddings on Pix Wedding, the median wedding collected 149 guest photos from 8 uploaders (full dataset), and those are pictures no hired vendor took.

The trend under all the trends is the guest. In The Knot 2025 Global Wedding Report, based on more than 33,000 couples, nearly half of US couples named guest enjoyment as their top concern, and 68 percent wanted guests to feel like they had never been to another wedding like theirs.
