2How It Works for the Couple: Setup in Five Steps
Setup takes one sitting. Nothing has to be installed on your side either: the dashboard runs in the browser on a laptop or phone.

Step 1Create your album
Sign up at pix.wedding with your email and create an event with your names and date. The free plan starts right away, no card needed.

Step 2Choose your guest settings
Decide whether guests can browse the album, whether they can download photos, and whether new uploads need your approval before they appear. Viewing and downloads are on by default, approval is off by default.

Step 3Design and print the QR code
Download the code and put it on table cards, a welcome sign, stickers or the back of the menu. Paid plans include QR design templates, and the free QR sticker designer works with any plan.

Step 4Test it once
Scan the printed code with two different phones, ideally one iPhone and one Android, and upload a test photo. Delete the test afterwards.

Step 5Tell guests on the day
A sign at the entrance, a card on each table and one mention from the MC during dinner do most of the work. After that, the album fills itself.
Timing tip: the upload window starts when you create the event
On paid plans guests can upload for 3 months (Starter), 6 months (Standard) or 12 months (Pro), counted from the day you create the event. If your wedding is far away, create the album closer to the date or choose a plan with a longer window.
3How It Works for Guests: Scan, Pick, Upload
The guest side is designed for the least technical person at your wedding. This is everything a guest does.
Step 1Scan the QR code
They open the regular camera app and point it at the code. A link pops up, and one tap opens your album in the phone browser.
Step 2Pick photos and videos
They choose shots from their camera roll or take new ones. Several files can go up at once, in full resolution, photos up to 30 MB and videos up to 100 MB each.
Step 3See them in the album
Uploads appear in the shared gallery, or wait for your approval if you switched moderation on. If you allow it, guests can browse and download the album too.
Step 4Optional extras
Depending on your plan, guests can leave a voice message in the audio guestbook, pick a photo mission before they shoot, or find every photo they appear in with AI selfie search.
Why no app matters
Every extra step loses guests. An app means an app store, a password and free storage space, and many older relatives stop right there. A browser link works on any modern iPhone or Android phone without installing anything. More on the no app download page.

6Privacy and Host Controls
The album belongs to the couple. Guests can add to it, but only hosts can take anything away.
Switch on moderation and nothing shows in the gallery until you approve it. Off by default.
Guest viewing on or off
Let guests browse the album, or make it upload-only so only you see the photos. On by default.
Guest downloads on or off
Allow or block guests from downloading photos from the gallery. On by default.
Only hosts can delete
Delete single uploads or bulk-delete from your dashboard. Guests cannot delete photos, so nothing disappears by accident.

7What You End Up With After the Wedding
We analysed our own data from 203 weddings on Pix Wedding with 40,531 guest uploads in total. The typical album held 149 photos and videos (the median), and the middle half of weddings landed between 70 and 253. The average was higher, 197, because a few very active weddings pull it up. The largest album had 1,365 uploads, and just 3 guests sent them.

11Is Pix Wedding Legit? Security, Reviews and Support
Pix Wedding runs at pix.wedding, and the app works in English, German, Spanish and Turkish. The 203-wedding dataset above comes from real albums hosted on the platform. Couples can leave a review after their event, and you can read them on our reviews page.
On security: albums are private by default and only reachable through their link or QR code, uploads travel over an encrypted HTTPS connection, and hosts decide who can view and download. For AI selfie search, face data stays private to your event and is deleted together with it. Pricing is shown up front as one payment, and the refund rule above applies if nothing gets uploaded.
