Boston's Registry puts it plainly: you cannot use your license to get married less than 3 days from when you received it. To marry sooner, you need a court-issued Marriage Without Delay waiver, which Boston lists with a $195 fee. In Boston the license costs $50, expires 60 days from your appointment and cannot be used outside Massachusetts. Both partners must apply together and in person, with an exception for military members, and the Registry works by appointment only.
