Cold sparks are machines that throw a shower of sparks for an entrance or first dance without the heat of fireworks. DJ MC Dan lists cold sparks and low fog at A$880. They are optional, but useful if your venue bans sparklers.
The venue decides, and some DJs set limits too: Tim the DJ says its packages finish at 11pm. EPA Victoria also caps music noise from venues and events, so plan the last dance around the venue's rules.
WorkSafe Victoria says only licensed pyrotechnicians can use fireworks, and it does not set a separate sparkler rule on that page. Wineries in fire country often say no, so ask before you plan an exit.
Coldstream averages 13 to 14 degrees in June and July and about 28 in January. Nights drop further, so a winter wedding needs heaters and an indoor dance floor.
