Put four things on the card: the question with the role (Will you be my bridesmaid?), their name, one or two sentences about why you picked them, and your name at the end. Keep the message to about 25 to 40 words so it fits the card and reads in one breath. Save the longer talk about dates, dresses and costs for the conversation after they say yes.

The card maker sets the question line and the role for you. The name and the message are where the card becomes yours. Here is what each part does, numbered as they appear from top to bottom.
Will you be my, set in italics by the tool. It is the same on every card, so the rest has to carry the personality.
The biggest words on the card. Pick the exact title you mean, so a maid of honor knows she is the maid of honor.
The first thing they look for. Use what you call them in real life, nickname included.
One real reason you picked them. A memory beats a compliment, and a short line beats a paragraph.
End the message with Love, and your name (or both your names). The card has no separate signature line, so it goes in the message box.

Write to her like one of the group. Junior bridesmaids want to feel included, not cute.

Shorter usually works better here. One line and his name can be enough.
You were my first call about the ring. Be my best man and keep me calm, and on time.
Brother, best friend, worst influence. Will you be my best man?
A little humor fits, as long as the card still says plainly what you are asking.

Match the card to the wedding, not to the person, so the whole bridal party gets the same look. Then use one of the eight color presets to bring it close to your wedding colors.
Soft blush card with floral corners. Pairs well with a pastel bridesmaid palette.

The card downloads as a 3:4 PNG. On a computer that is 1080 x 1440 pixels. The table shows how that file fits the common greeting card sizes and how sharp it prints on each one.

A2 and A6 are the closest match to the 3:4 card, which is why they are shaded. Print on cardstock, choose fit to page rather than fill so nothing gets cropped, and trim the thin margin. A 5 x 7 still looks good at arm's length, just a little softer than the smaller sizes.
USPS treats a letter as nonmachinable when its length divided by its height is under 1.3 or over 2.5, or when it has clasps, strings or buttons, is too rigid or is uneven in thickness. A square envelope has a ratio of 1.0, so it pays the surcharge. A2 (1.31), A6 (1.37) and A7 (1.38) envelopes stay in range when the card inside is flat.

A digital card can still feel personal. The trick is the moment around it: who sees it first, and whether you are there for the reaction.
Send the PNG on its own first, then call. A picture with no context makes people open it straight away.
Put the card in the body, not only as an attachment, and write a two-line note under it. Good for friends who check email at work.
Mail or share the card, then open the call so you see their face when they read it. The closest thing to asking in person.
Ask each person on their own first. Once everyone has said yes, post all the cards in one new group chat to welcome the crew.
It works. On a phone screen the card downloads at 900 x 1200 pixels, which is plenty for a text or an email. If you also want to print it, make that copy on a computer for the full 1080 x 1440 file.

Under the USPS price list in effect from October 4, 2026, a 1 ounce First-Class stamped letter costs $0.82. A square envelope, a wax seal or anything else that makes the letter nonmachinable adds $0.49, so $1.31 in total. A standard A2 or A6 envelope with a flat card avoids the surcharge.
